Although I don’t actually know from personal experience, I always thought that money could buy (#21)…a good hair day!
If not, then there are some salons out there that owe some customers back some money, possibly my beautiful wife among them.
🙂
Great post Frank!
That’s really funny Marc. Have a super day!
Best,
Frank
What an eye-opener! (and thought-provoker….)
Thanks Susan. Happy New Year!

Frank
So, Frank-so-smart, how is it that people with no money have few, if any of these descriptors
Hey Boz
I understand your point. I personally know people who aren’t well-off, yet they are honest, trustworthy and happy. I respect them for who they are not what they have.
Have a great day!
Best,
Frank

Have a great day!

Appreciation of the simple things…definitely one of my favs. One of the gr8 secrets in life. Thanks for sharing. Eric
Hey Eric
I agree. Sometimes when you look back, the little things are the big things.
Thank YOU for your encouragement and support.
Best,
Frank
You got great vision on life of what are real important to life. Sometimes its needed to in difficulties to realize of what are important. If you will let me add one more, I wanna add sleep on the list. Have a great day!
Great addition Jen
We originally had, “A Good Night’s Sleep” on the list, but thought it was too close to a clear conscience. We all love our sleep, don’t we?
Have an awesome day!
Best,
Frank
those things may not be bought by money, but those things need money to be achieved. like respect, how can you respect someone who can’t buy their own clothes/houses. how do you respect a naked dirty guy on the street? and well-adjusted kid will surely need good education, nutrition/food, and things to fulfill all what they need to do and that all needs money.
i know that you want us not to be materialistic, but we just can’t deny that money is very important aspect of our life.
I understand what you’re saying. I’m not trying to say that money isn’t important. Rather, I’m saying that there’s more to life than money. I’m putting the final touches on a new post that addresses this issue. It’ll go live Tuesday. See you then.
Best,
Frank
Money is important, yes, but it’s not everything. Some people get real defensive–usually covering their own insecurity. The trouble with material things is huge ASSUMPTIONS,, we perceive and even worse, buy into mere fiction, and develop this, “They have money, their lives must be perfect, they get whatever they want.” I know some millionaires (some of which are money elitists) many of these things on here are things they lack and often wish they had. It’s kind of sad really, they grow up not knowing how the real world works and fall so terribly hard, I’ve seen it. Nearly all outside relationships they get into someone wants something from them. Net worth and Trust Funds ARE NOT invincible or immunity to poverty, plenty of riches to rags stories out there.
I visit people (relatives of friends who have moved) in a retirement home, a nice one, where some people there wear high up in politics once. Not once have I ever hear any of them say, “I wish I made more money in life,” or “I wish I worked harder.” If they had any regrets it is, “I wish I spent more time with family,” or “I wish made that extra effort to get to know my children better/worked less.” Family and genuine good friends is priceless. There are many out there who don’t have it or have been broken due to material issues.
I agree Tyler. “Money is important, but it’s not everything.” It’s important to keep money in perspective and assign appropriate value to other areas of our lives, such as personal relationships, quality of life, and family time. The truth is, if we take these things for granted, and lose them as a result, shame on us. You may find another one of my posts interesting. Check out, “There’s More to Life Than Money.”
Have an awesome day!

Money cannot buy satisfaction and contentment. It can’t buy the air we breath. Love of money had driven a lot to a state of desperation which eventually crashed their lives.
Hi Dayo
I agree. I believe happiness is as much a function of having the right perspective as it is the amount of money that we have.
Have an awesome day!

Frank
Money can’t buy beautiful mind and heart.
This is really important. Thank you for penning your thoughts. I really enjoyed reading through your list. Do I have permission to print this please? I’d like to use it with my class as I’m sure this is something that they would love reading, discussing and developing with their own thoughts. Thank you, R

Great post. I hope that a lot of young children would be able to see this to enlighten their minds and not be blinded with money when they grow up. Thanks for sharing this, Frank.

A poster that needs to be posted and shared…change your perspective on success ($$$$) and embrace what is truly the good stuff…that money CANNOT buy. Thanks Frank!
THanks, frank
u reminded me about the important points of life
Thank YOU David 🙂
Money cannot buy happiness and happiness will not last forever except the happiness of care and helping each other with respect around the world.
You’ve got that right. 🙂
Best,
Frank
Thanks! I had to print out your poster to hang on the refrigerator. Beautifully said. If I may, I’d like to add that money can’t buy belly laughs from my son or beautiful sunsets shared with those we love.
Enjoy your day!
Hi Kristin
Belly laughs are the best. Great additions 🙂 Have an awesome day!
Frank
You need to change the title to 49 things money can’t buy..You are dead wrong about money not being able to purchase a good work/life balance. Money can easily purchase a good/life balance.
That’s an interesting thought Gary. I absolutely see where you’re coming from.
There may be folks who would beg to differ with you. Most people don’t get dropped on top of a mountain. They work their butts off to get there. When they reach the summit it’s not all roses.
For example, she misses her kid’s recital because she can’t afford the time away from work, he leaves his family Sunday afternoon to catch a plane to the coast, and while she may be attending a Broadway show with her husband, her mind is on a problem she’s having at work. Do they have nice cars, a fancy home and all the trappings that money offers? You bet! But success comes at a price.
Does money guarantee work life balance? Doubtful.
Thanks for taking the time to write.

Money can’t buy a mans destiny but can change a mans destination
Interesting, Jeremiah. Thanks for sharing 🙂

There’s always working to achieve a higher level of wealth so you CAN have most of the things on the list. For example, I may work all of my thirties so I can spend my forties, fifties and sixties having all day, every day, to spend with my family and do the things we enjoy as opposed to taking more time now with family but working 40 hours per week until I’m 65…food for thought.
You’re right Grant. Work hard when you’re young, so that the money is there for you when you’re older. In this case money buys you peace of mind 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to write.

If we see practically money can buy happiness but if we see logically it cannot if we say like first of all real happiness is not when we get lot of money and luxury because the most important point is that there is no way to happiness as happiness is the only way real happiness is waking up and realising you don’t have to impress anybody but yourself yes your own self you should remember that you are more precious to yourself more than anyone in your life as you yourself will be the only one who is there for you no matter as it is your good situation or bad situation so there is the only reason so if you ever lose your patience over anything remember for every minute you are angry you lose 60 second of your life so it’s better be happy in every situation and money can’t b u y happiness that’s not true but yes it’s true in some way we cannot buy 25 hours of day we cannot buy 8 days of week we cannot buy 13 months of year so we cannot buy everything with money so we should think how to get or be happy in every time every situation of our life and that’s so very good thought 50 things money can’t buy and it’s very great thought thank you made my day thank you so so much have a great day
A student of class 10
Have a great day everyone
All good points, Aish
Consider this:
Money should never become the cornerstone of your life, nor should it define you as a person.
If you appreciate what you have, you’ll never want for more.
